Contract, External Research and Alliance Management Intern

The External Research and Alliance Management intern will support our mission of enabling external research collaborations to enhance PTC’s pipeline, research capabilities, innovation, and realization of PTC’s corporate goals.
This position will prepare you to learn about the discovery and development of innovative medicines and participate in solving real-life questions in the pharmaceutical industry. You will develop knowledge and understanding of different stages and approaches in pharmaceutical drug development, and general business knowledge. You will participate in and contribute to the analysis and evaluation of new research and development opportunities. The position will also involve supporting collaboration team meetings and preparation of project status reports.
Tasks/Responsibilities Review primary and secondary literature, analyze publications for content and relevance to ERAM projects Support analyses of collaboration opportunities Assist with preparation for technical and scientific meetings, including materials for presentations, such as project time sheets, project outlines, illustrations Participate in team meetings, take meeting notes, and draft minutes Develop and draft project team deliverables and recommendations Support ongoing project activity tracking Completing all assigned tasks and assisting with day-to-day operations. Observing and learning from experienced staff members. Gaining knowledge of company policies, protocols, and processes. Taking detailed notes and liaising with Managers, Supervisors, and other senior staff. Fulfilling any requirements and meeting goals set out at the start of the Internship. Following all company regulations, and health and safety codes. Preparing documents and updating records.
Experience / Qualifications The position requires an MS or PhD degree in life sciences. We are looking for a person with a keen interest in pharmaceutical drug discovery and drug development, possess strong analytical and problem solving skills. The position is well suited for an individual who is interested in pursuing a career in the following field: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), pharmaceutical discovery and development, alliance management, and business development. This position requires an energetic, motivated, and highly organized individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to organize information and support timely project execution. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Superb attention to detail. Strong leadership skills. A positive attitude and willingness to learn. Excellent time management skills. This is a one (1) year Talent Pipeline Program and the candidate/applicant must be able to complete the entire one-year program Intern must be a recent college graduate
